When I started looking for my first pair of larger home speakers, I thought choosing the right speaker would be simple. I just needed to find something that sounded good and fit my room. But after comparing different models, I quickly noticed one important difference: some speakers use two drivers , while others use three .

At first, I assumed a speaker with more drivers must automatically sound better. But after learning more about speaker design, I realised the answer is not that simple.

Whether I choose a compact 2-way bookshelf speaker  or a powerful 3-way floor-standing system , the right speaker is the one that matches my room, my music, and the way I listen .
