I bought this sub to complement an Electro-Voice ZLX-15BT 15" loudspeaker. Or, I should say, I bought the EV first, and found that its 15" left a LOT to be desired in low end output, particularly anything below 50 Hz where it already starts its drop off. If you're playing hip-hop, bass, or EDM, particularly if you're being paid to do it, this sub will make a massive difference when paired with most PA-style speakers. This sub has good response, i.e. +/- 3dB even at high output levels, down to 28 Hz, while most of its peers are lucky to touch the mid 30's, and typical pole/wall-mount loudspeakers, regardless of the driver size, lose a significant amount of output below the mid-40 Hz range, which translates to horrible sounding bass-heavy music.I actually wanted one of Cerwin Vega's higher end professional-style subs, like the CVX/CVA series, but as my primary music type for these is old school 90's/00's bass, and hip-hop, I preferred the response curve of these to the higher end systems which tend to fall off below 35 Hz.In any case, no regrets on my decision in the short term; we'll see how it holds up over the coming years. In my use case, I have the sub as the bluetooth receiver, and then take an XLR line out to the EV loudspeaker mounted on top of the sub. You do not need to use both channels on the sub or top speaker; the bluetooth signal has both stereo channels combined, and the Cerwin Vega's outputs are therefore also combined, so channel 1 and channel 2 are the same content. If you need actual stereo and bluetooth feed, you'll need to go with a mixing board with bluetooth; even a cheap one will be fine, it will be your input, then feed the sub, which then sends high pass to the loudspeaker, or just feed both independently if you want to control the levels and crossover point on your mixer.
